We Think Pink...

Well, our doctor said that he is 95% sure that we are having another GIRL!!! He wasn't completely sure, so he did not write it in our chart. He would rather check again when we go back on January 15. Of course this leaves us feeling a little bit in limbo. We are very excited about the idea of another little girl in the house - a little sister for Laney. But, we feel a little unsure ourselves. We don't want to officially choose a name until we have a more definite decision. For now we will "think girl", but will feel much better after our visit in January.

Boy or Girl??? We find out today!

In just a few hours we will go the the doctor and HOPEFULLY be able to find out if this little addition to our family will be a boy or a girl! I am about 16 1/2 weeks along, so our doctor says that we should be able to find out. I am going prepared, though. I plan on eating some M&M's before we go in, and if that doesn't work, I will take a "Coke break" and try again!

People keep asking me what I think I am having, but I really have no idea - no preminitions, no feelings, just really not sure! I can hardly stand the wait, though! I will let everyone know as soon as we find out!

The Santa Experience

Before Thanksgiving, I took Laney to "The Santa Experience" at the outlet mall. We were there for about 2 hours and had a great time. Laney got to write a letter to santa and mail it to the north pole, make an ornament, visit with santa, decorate a cookie, and play in snow! She enjoyed almost everything, except actually having to sit with Santa. Notice in the slide show who is sitting on his lap...

Double Thanksgiving

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Hopefully there was some time spent with family and some time for resting. We didn't get much rest in because we split our day between 2 houses - which means 2 full fledge Thanksgiving meals! We started our day at the Fox's house. It was great to hang out with Casey's family, and watch the girls all play. Of course they ran around wild.
Next, we went to my parents' house for a second round of turkey. Casey and I ate, but Laney just played. Then she helped my mom put a few ornaments on the tree. She will be a pro when we get around to putting ours up!

Best Buds

I thought this picture was too cute not to share! It was taken at Ms. Eileen's house (Laney's babysitter) last week. This is her very best friend, Blaine Buddy. They love hanging out together, and truly have a brother/sister relationship.

12 Weeks

Monday will be the 12 week mark of my pregnancy! Last time we waited until 12 weeks to tell everyone, including our parents. I am not sure how we lasted that long with such a huge secret! We go back to the doctor Tuesday, Nov. 25. I think we will only listen to the heartbeat at that appointment, but it is exciting to go no matter what.

I had been suffering from quite a bit of nausea earlier, but have been feeling better the past week and 1/2. Right now I am just battling the exhaustion. It is a little different now that I have a 3 year old at home to take care of. Last time around, I used to come home from work and crash on the couch. Not these days!

One last thing - we have some good friends (The Junod's) who just moved to the Middle East for work. Please keep this family in your prayers, as they are so far from their loved ones. We miss them!

Fall Fun

The fall has gotten off to a great start. Dee Dee and Pops took Laney to the pumpkin patch a few weekends ago, and she made sure to bring back as many pumpkins as she could. They were supposed to sit outside as a decoration, but she has slowly brought several of them into the house to play with.

Here are Laney and Hope at the Fall Festival at our church. Two cute bumblebees, huh?We went to Gigi and Pods' house last week to paint pumpkins. There is nothing Laney loves more than to color and paint, so she piled it on! The pumpkin started out pink, and ended up about 30 different shades. Casey joined in on the fun, too.

And finally, Halloween! Laney had a blast and came home with a ton of candy. She has asked several times to "do it again"!

BIG News!!!

There is a new Baby Fox on the way!! We are so excited to share with everyone that we are 9 weeks pregnant! We went to the doctor for the first visit yesterday, and got to see Baby Fox moving all around. It was so neat. We will hopefully find out if it is a boy or a girl close to Christmas.

Laney doesn't know yet. I think it will be just too much for her to wrap her mind around. We made the mistake of mentioning Santa, and that is now a daily question (When is he coming? Where does he live?) We will tell her when it starts to become a little more obvious.

Birthday Party

Laney's birthday party was a lot of fun! The best part was that she and the kids had a blast, while Casey and I got to just follow along and watch. This was the easiest party we have had - I am thinking this will be the trend from now on!

Laney's Birthday (and Mom's, too)

We celebrated both of our birthdays last week. It was fun, because Laney actually thought it was her birthday ALL WEEK! She let me share in the celebrating a little, too. We will actually have her birthday party this weekend. Then we will take a break from celebrating her birthday for a while. :)

Not so thrilled to wake up for her 3rd birthday

She finally came around...

Birthday Girl

Can you tell she loves Dora?

Listening to her knew iPod shuffle (I still can't believe we got her this)

Laney's Birthday Eve

Tonight is Laney's birthday eve. We have been talking about her birthday for a while, and she keeps asking, "Is my birthday coming up?" Well, it will finally be here tomorrow! She is really excited. Her party is not for a few weekends, but of course we will celebrate tomorrow, too.

She is bringing Jello Jigglers to her friends tomorrow at Miss Eileen's. She had fun making them tonight. She ate about as many as she made!

Nature Fest

We went to Nature Fest with some friends and family this weekend. We got there kind of late, but the kids were still able to do a few things. One of the favorites was riding the ponies. Laney, Hannah, and Hope loved it! We tried to get pictures of the 3 cousing with their pumpkins and in front of a tee pee, but it didn't work out. Getting 3 wild, little girls to smile and look at the camera on cue is nearly impossible!

Laney's New Quilt

Laney's "Big Girl" room has been a work in progress, and yesterday she received her special quilt that Dee Dee made for her. She was so excited to see it on her bed, and sleep with it for the first time last night! She is a lucky girl to have such a talented and generous Dee Dee!

Going back to work!

I never thought I would be so excited to go back to work, but I am! We are going a little stir crazy around here with not much to do. With the extra time off due to the hurricane, you would think that we would be doing all kinds of fun things. Unfortunately, it is too much trouble to go many places because of the bad traffic and gas problems. We have had fun playing with our cousins and neighbor, though. It has been nice to spend some quality time, with Laney, too.

It will be nice to get back to school, and get on with the things that need to be taught. Who knows when we'll be making the days up...I am sure they won't let us get away without it!

A Brand New Blog!

Well, I have decided to start a new blog. Over the summer I spent so much time viewing friends' blogs, that I thought it was time for me to get one up and running again. Hopefully this will be a great way for me to keep in touch with everyone, and I promise to be better at updating this one than the last.

I know it is September, but let me backtrack for a second. We had a wonderful summer, spending a week with each side of the family at two different beaches. We also spent a lot of time at the pool and playing with friends. Below are some of our favorite pictures from the summer.

Now I am back at school, and Laney is enjoying seeing all of her friends at Ms. Eileen's house every day. We have a bit of a break this week, due to Hurricane Ike hitting the gulf coast. We were fortunate to have minimal damage, and only lost power for 2 days. There are so many people who suffered worse than us, so we feel very lucky.
