Baby Lexi is Here!!!

We are thrilled to announce the arrival of Lexi Kay Fox. She was born 3 weeks early on Monday, May 11. Everything was perfect, and she weighed in at 6 pounds 2 ounces. We are home now loving every second with her. Laney is enjoying being a big sister so much!! Here are some pictures, and I will post again soon!a>

Bluebonnets and Baby

During Spring Break we made our annual trip to Chappell Hill for Bluebonnet pictures. As always, we had trouble getting all 3 of the girls to cooperate, but it is tradition and we stuck it out. We found a GREAT place this year. There were tons of bluebonnets, and it was not too crowded. Our biggest problem was "squinty eyes". Even though it was overcast, we all still had a difficult time not squinting.

I will be 32 weeks Monday (April 6), so I decided I need to finally put a picture up. I am not really a fan of having my picture taken these days. Needless to say, I was not thrilled with the bluebonnet pictures I was in. It will be nice to have Baby Lexi here, and get rid of some of this extra weight. Only 8 more weeks to go!!

It's Been So Long...

Wow - it has been forever since I posted. It is amazing how time flies by. Things are great with us. I am officially 29 weeks along now, and haven't had any complications. This pregnancy is going better than I could have ever imagined. I get a progesterone shot each week to help prevent pre-term labor, and I really believe it has helped. I am just starting to get to the "uncomfortable" stage, so I am counting the weeks until I am due. Only 11 more to go! :)

We are on spring break now, so Laney and I are just taking it easy and doing things around here. Tomorrow she is going to the Rodeo with Daddy, Gigi, and Pods. I wish I could be there to see her experience it, but it would just be too much walking for me (even thought this pregnancy is going well, I still have to try and take it easy). Laney is thrilled to be going to the "Radio" and keeps asking about it. I will be sure to post pictures afterwards.

Here are a few pictures from the past few weeks.

100 % GIRL!

Well, we went back to the doctor on Thursday and got a great view of the baby. We are now 100% sure that she is a girl! I was pretty sure already (95% is enough for me), but now Casey feels better about it all. So, I feel like we can start planning some things now. Our first order of business is a name. We have a few in mind, but need to make a final decision.

The doctor also said that everything looks great. She is a little ahead of schedule on growth, and moving a lot! I started on progesterone shots 4 weeks ago to prevent pre-term labor. We are hoping not to experience any of the problems we had last time. As I quickly approach the 25 week mark (I am almost 21 weeks now), I feel a little anxious about having to go on bedrest again. My sister-in-law, Rachel, and I have decided that we need to pray diligently for this not to happen each day. Please join us in this prayer.

One other little note, Laney seems excited about being a big sister. She asks about the baby a lot, and wants to kiss her good night. I also have noticed some habits she has picked back up ever since she found out about the baby. The biggest thing we noticed is the thumb-sucking. We thought it was over, and now it has come back! Any suggestions would be great!

Happy New Year!

It is hard to believe that it is already 2009! This will be a big year in so many ways: a new baby in our family, Laney turns 4, I turn the dreaded 30, a new president, the world's economy(???)...
It should definitely be interesting.

We hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas, and enjoyed New Year's Eve. Our holiday was spent with family, which was so great. Of course we had a marathon day and spent time at each house, but Laney loved it all. I have a attached some of the MANY pictures below.

We Think Pink...

Well, our doctor said that he is 95% sure that we are having another GIRL!!! He wasn't completely sure, so he did not write it in our chart. He would rather check again when we go back on January 15. Of course this leaves us feeling a little bit in limbo. We are very excited about the idea of another little girl in the house - a little sister for Laney. But, we feel a little unsure ourselves. We don't want to officially choose a name until we have a more definite decision. For now we will "think girl", but will feel much better after our visit in January.

Boy or Girl??? We find out today!

In just a few hours we will go the the doctor and HOPEFULLY be able to find out if this little addition to our family will be a boy or a girl! I am about 16 1/2 weeks along, so our doctor says that we should be able to find out. I am going prepared, though. I plan on eating some M&M's before we go in, and if that doesn't work, I will take a "Coke break" and try again!

People keep asking me what I think I am having, but I really have no idea - no preminitions, no feelings, just really not sure! I can hardly stand the wait, though! I will let everyone know as soon as we find out!

The Santa Experience

Before Thanksgiving, I took Laney to "The Santa Experience" at the outlet mall. We were there for about 2 hours and had a great time. Laney got to write a letter to santa and mail it to the north pole, make an ornament, visit with santa, decorate a cookie, and play in snow! She enjoyed almost everything, except actually having to sit with Santa. Notice in the slide show who is sitting on his lap...

Double Thanksgiving

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Hopefully there was some time spent with family and some time for resting. We didn't get much rest in because we split our day between 2 houses - which means 2 full fledge Thanksgiving meals! We started our day at the Fox's house. It was great to hang out with Casey's family, and watch the girls all play. Of course they ran around wild.
Next, we went to my parents' house for a second round of turkey. Casey and I ate, but Laney just played. Then she helped my mom put a few ornaments on the tree. She will be a pro when we get around to putting ours up!
